How is it a plea for attention? You weird cunts. I filled out an application form and on the first page it asked me if I was the same sex that I had been born and what my sexuality was. This struck me as strange which prompted me to post a thread to see if it’s standard practice these days.

There's a difference between the equal opportunities survey and a formal job application. It sounds like the drugs addled your brain.

I'm sure it will have been optional, and therefore not illegal. It's on all NHS forms, along with all sorts of other nonsense they like to know so they can prove they're 'equal opportunities'.

If you don't get the job you can sue them for asking the question; if you do get the job you will need to tell them that they can't ask that question at an interview as they will open themselves up to legal action from a bitter rejected candidate.
